By It’s official. Palm Springs is now the place to be.
A blogger (or, as we affectionately refer to them, “Palm Springs bloggers”) has just made it official. He/she has created a website with the words “Palm Springs Blog” and has been publishing a blog since March.
I know its easy to scoff at Palm Springs bloggers, and scoffing is just what they do, but they are a major part of the community here in Palm Springs. They have a lot of good information to share about the city, and they have a very active social media presence too. Heshe has managed to get the word out about the city, and now that the word is out, they are probably going to be the ones who get the most buzz.
The Palm Springs Blog has been around for a few years now, and its growth has been steady. With that being said, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on it. The idea of a city blog post is to let people know about the city’s happenings without having to provide too much detail. For example, when I moved to Palm Springs back in August of 2007, I saw a lot of Palm Springs blogs, but I didn’t know a lot about them.
On the other hand, I think the idea of a city blog can keep people interested in you, since it would give an advantage to people who have been looking for a place to talk about art, movies, music, etc. So I think they should still be doing a decent job of it.
People who are interested in learning about Palm Springs probably don’t care about art or movies, but I think all of these blogs should be part of the way to get people interested in this subject.

Palm Springs is a pretty diverse area. There are art galleries, restaurants, galleries, antique shops, art museums, etc. That means there are probably going to be some blogs about that. I think it would also be a good thing if people could talk about art and movies in a more general way. Maybe you could be inspired by a blog, and then want to check out other blogs. So in a sense, blogs have probably been doing this for a while.
Palm Springs is definitely a cool area, and I’m not so worried about the blogs. I am worried about the blogs that are not so cool and that have a very specific purpose. I’m not sure if I like any of them at all.
It’s nice to have some cool, thoughtful blogs, but I’ve never felt so good about it at the moment. I don’t know if it’s a trend or a trend for the last decade, but I would be interested to see what you think about it.
