Travel in the Philippines And Why It’s Perfect For Beginners

0

Whether you’re looking for pristine beaches, a city adventure, or to explore more rural areas, visit the Philippines and you’ll find it all. There are so many places to visit in the Philippines as this country is full of vast differences. A trip to the Philippines will show you beauty tucked away on each and every one of their 7000 plus islands. Are you looking for an unforgettable trip that will be etched in your mind forever? Capture your journey, upload photos on your youtube channel and reach numerous people with the help of Jaynike

But it’s not its beauty that makes it perfect for beginner travellers (though how beautiful it is helps to make it an ideal destination). There are so many aspects of the Filipino culture that make it easy for beginner travellers. And on the continent of Asia it can be a bit daunting deciding where to start. Every country seems to be so vastly different from western culture, which is part of the beauty of Asia, but also what makes it an intimidating continent to start out on.

Though I think jumping head first into culture shock can do wonders for you and change you as a person, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea to experience it so intensely. If you don’t agree with me and wish for a smooth transition into Asia as a beginner traveller then look no further than Philippines travel. Travel to the Philippines and you’ll find that you may be surprised…

I don’t know about you, but I love walking out on sandbars.

The People Are So Welcoming

Filipinos are so welcoming that it’s even a little bit over the top. No matter if it’s your cab driver, the people who work at your accommodation, a friendly stranger on the street, or your tour guide, I swear every Filipino will be happy to welcome you into their country. This is because they are extremely proud people.

Never before have I met so many locals that are happy to share their heritage, to show their culture, and to include you in all of it. There is nothing that makes for a better transition in Asia than having locals want you there. Believe me, there are other Asian countries that are not welcoming at all and it will make all the difference for beginner travelers. Having welcoming locals makes travel in the Philippines a pleasant breeze.

Everyone Speaks English

Say what? English in Asia? Actually English is spoken more commonly in Asia than you probably think, but even more so in the Philippines. So much so that I couldn’t even find a local who didn’t speak English. This is because they start learning English from a young age at home and then grow up learning it in school.

There’s so much English that when listening to the radio it’s almost a half and half mix of their local language (Tagalog) and English. It’s funny to listen to but you can actually get a rough idea what they’re talking about. Taking out the communication issue is bound to give beginner travellers the smoothest of transitions from home to Asia.

It’s On The Beaten Path

Though the first countries you think of when you think of Asia are probably China or Thailand, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t other countries that are still widely explored. Philippines destinations, though not some of the most popular in Asia, are very quickly becoming some of the top destinations in the world.

Boracay and Palawan have continuously been voted as some of the top five islands to visit in the world, making them both extremely popular with tourists. And where there are tourists there are lots of food, accommodation, transportation, and tour options. It means that finding things to do and getting to places are easy. And that’s what beginner travelers like right? It’s certainly what I like sometimes.

There are also plenty of islands and places to explore that are definitely off the beaten path. You’ve got options when you travel in the Philippines.

But if you want to see some places that aren’t so on the beaten path I suggest checking out these places to visit in the Southern Philippines.

The Philippines is full of history.

It Has So Much To See

Why bother going to a country in Asia that doesn’t have plenty to see for your first trip? You don’t have to. Your Philippines trip will be packed with everything you could dream of doing. You can spend time in big city Manila shopping your heart out and watching sunsets along the water. You can go island hopping in El Nido and explore the lagoons between beautiful limestone landscapes. You can party until the sun comes up on some of the world’s most beautiful beaches in Boracay. Or you can go trekking in Banaue-Batad for a bit of adventure. There is no shortage of places to go in the Philippines.

I could go on, but I think you get the idea. There is so much to do that you can easily fill your 30-day visa and never do anything that’s similar. What more can you ask for from a country?

Apo Island, which is awesome for snorkelling with turtles!

I could list plenty of more reasons as to why you should travel in the Philippines…swimming with whale sharks, crystal clear blue waters, budget-friendly, plenty of seafood and fresh mango…the list goes on. So whether you’re a beginner traveller or have been travelling for years, the Philippines is one destination that has it all. What’s even better? You can do it all with ease.

If you’re ready to see this beautiful country you can find budget accommodation in the Philippines here. You won’t regret it! Get planning your trip to the Philippines!
